Brazilian social media influencer Thaís Moura has tragically died at the age of 31 following a motorcycle crash in Volta Redonda, a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and thousands of followers mourning the loss of a content creator known for her beauty, lifestyle, and brand partnership content.
According to Brazilian authorities, the fatal accident occurred during the early hours of Sunday, July 12, on Via Sérgio Braga in the Conforto neighborhood of Volta Redonda. Moura was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle operated by her 22-year-old partner as the pair traveled home after attending a local festival.
Emergency responders transported both riders to São João Batista Hospital after the crash. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Moura succumbed to her injuries. Her partner sustained injuries, remained under medical observation, and was later discharged from the hospital.
Police reported that it was raining at the time of the collision, although the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. The motorcycle driver reportedly told investigators he could not remember how the accident occurred, recalling only waking up on the ground beside Moura.
During the investigation, authorities determined that the motorcycle operator did not possess a valid National Driver’s License (CNH). The case has been formally registered with police in Volta Redonda, and officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In the hours before the crash, Moura shared one of her final social media posts, which included a photograph of herself holding a phone displaying the Portuguese phrase, “Hoje alguém vai chorar,” meaning, “Today someone will cry.” While the post has drawn significant public attention following her death, there is no evidence that it was connected to the tragic accident.
With more than 63,000 Instagram followers and millions of content views, Thaís Moura had built a growing online presence through beauty content, product recommendations, and collaborations with brands. Her funeral services began on Sunday evening, with burial scheduled at a private cemetery.
