Ryleigh Larock Hannibal, NY Death-Obituary: Hannibal and Oswego Communities Mourn Beloved Educator, Artist, and Newlywed

The communities of Hannibal and Oswego, New York, are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ryleigh Nicole (LaRock) Graham, whose passing on July 12, 2026, has left family, friends, coworkers, and students grieving the loss of a remarkable young woman. Ryleigh died following complications from an unexpected brain infection, only a short time after marrying her beloved husband, Matthew Graham, with whom she shared seven years of love, friendship, and unwavering devotion.

Ryleigh will be remembered for her compassionate heart, creative spirit, and genuine kindness. A dedicated school aide at Volney Elementary School in the Fulton City School District, she quickly became a valued member of the school community. Within her first year of service, she received the Golden Apple Award, a testament to her commitment to supporting students and creating a positive learning environment. Her artistic talents also left a lasting impression, as the colorful murals she painted throughout the school continue to brighten the halls and inspire children every day.

Outside of her work, Ryleigh found joy in painting, crafting, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She loved taking walks with her faithful dog, Koda, and caring for her cherished tortoise, Ozzie. Friends and loved ones remember her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel welcomed and valued.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew; her loving parents, Michael and Joan “Joni” LaRock; her brother, Nathan LaRock; as well as grandparents, extended family members, in-laws, and countless friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

Heartfelt condolences are extended to Ryleigh’s family and everyone mourning her passing. May they find strength in one another and comfort in the extraordinary legacy of love, compassion, creativity, and service she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sugar Funeral Home Inc. in Fulton, New York, followed immediately by funeral services. Ryleigh will be laid to rest at Fairdale Cemetery.

Although her life was tragically brief, Ryleigh Nicole Graham’s legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, artistic gifts, and generous heart. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
